Slovenia is #1 in quality versus price in my opinion. The Scandi countries are sooo expensive. Vodka martinis wont be cheap either. Belgian beer can be expensive, but they have their version of awful domestic cheap beer too like Bud Lite.

The biggest surprise was the high price of beer in Norway and Finland, so probably vodka martinis in those countries. Also, I was surprised that Belgian beer had such a low price. I live near New York where Belgian lager is considered upscale and can be very expensive.

In 2016 the Far East Rock Cafe in Nha Trang, Vietnam had 660ml bottles of Larue beer for a special price of 9000 VND (26 English pence). After downing 13 of them in one afternoon, the total cost was about the same as one pint of Kronenbourg in Uxbridge, Greater London (£3.40). I miss Vietnam!

I’m off to Hungary and Austria in a couple of months. Apparently, Debrecen (Hungary) has pints for around 89 pence. Hmm.

Ukraine is just wonderfully cheap. Hoping for better days for them soon.
